11th November 2006: As part of National Enterprise Week, Jason was asked by Invest NI to join a panel of top NI entrepreneurs in judging the business ideas of school children from across Northern Ireland.

The 11 to 14 year olds came up with some exceptional ideas for the event which was televised, and the four members of the winning team each won a laptop plus £5000 ICT equipment for their school. The 28 runners-up each received an Ipod.

September 2006: A popular TV show recently featured Jason Shankey performing a live Male Grooming makeover.

Ireland AM, Ireland‘s favourite morning breakfast show asked Jason to makeover Clive, a local farmer. Clive had just come back from a climbing trip in the Alps and his hair was really long, dry and needed drastic action.

Jason performed a hot towel shave with a ‘cut throat‘ razor before tackling Clive‘s unruly hair.

For a bit of fun, the Sunday World called Jason up in April to do a bit of a makeover on Ryan, one of their journalists. The idea was that Ryan would recreate the recent Lynx advert starring Ben Affleck and, using a clicker, count how often he would be ‘checked out‘ by the ladies.

Needless to say, following his makeover Ryan turned plenty of heads.

18th August 2005: The very first Istanbul Grand Prix kicks off on 21st August 2005 and the BAR Honda team invited Jason Shankey Male Grooming to provide grooming treatments to their guests and team.

May 18th 2005: At the annual Shell LiveWire Entrpreneur of the year awards in the Waterfront Hall Belfast, Jason Shankey scooped the ‘Most significant progress‘ award for his company.

The honour was in recognition of the significant success Jason has achieved since starting out in business with the help of LiveWire back in 1997.

The honours take place annually and showcase the vision, determination and success of young entrepreneurs across 14 countries.
