November 09: Before they did battle on Saturday Night at the Odyssey Arena, the LBM Belfast Giants and the Hull Stingrays squared off to see who had the best team moustaches as part of the Giants ‘Movember’ Night.

The Giants had challenged the Stingrays to a moustache growing contest three weeks beforehand to support the Movember charity, which was set up to raise money for Prostate Cancer research. Men all across the world grew moustaches throughout November to raise awareness around men’s health issues, in particular prostate cancer.

It was too close to call on the night, but the Giants fans also got behind the charity, raising money through donations and from a shirt raffle on the night for the specially designed Movember jerseys that had the Giants normal logo replaced with the Giant Finn McCool sporting a moustache of his own.
